FRANÇOIS AUDOUY was born in the south of France and raised in a small town north of Los Angeles. He started early on his career path as a designer, painting murals at age 13 and photographing his computer monitor (no photo printers) with artwork he created in an early paint program called Degas Elite.

For over 15 years, François has been fortunate to have collaborated with many of the top directors and production designers working in film.

François has been an early adopter of progressive film design tools, and was one of the first all-digital concept designers in the industry. He has evolved his experiences with both digital and traditional artists to be able to assemble highly collaborative art departments that are creative, productive and efficient. He has organized art departments around the globe — Los Angeles, New Orleans, London, Montreal, Sydney, Tokyo and Vancouver.

A veteran and advocate of immersive design, François was a founding member of the 5D Conference, a ground-breaking narrative media design conference.

In 2007, François was named in The Hollywood Reporter’s fourth annual “Crafts: The Next Generation” issue as one of “the brightest and most talented 35-and-under artisans working in the industry today.

François recently completed the motion picture ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER in New Orleans with director Timur Bekmambetov and is currently in pre-production on THE WOLVERINE with director James Mangold.
